Last July we bought bamboo flooring from Lumber Liquidators, allowed it to stay in our home for a month to acclimate the wood, and had their recommended installers put the flooring in. It now has gaps and is separating and cupping, and getting worse each day.
Lumber Liquidators will not stand behind their 30 year warranty. As it turns out, we are not the only ones. Lumber Liquidators apparently bought defective wood from China and had it installed in many homes. The executives sold 356,000 shares of stock in May 2013 (www.onlineBarrons.com), just as the complaints began coming in.
There are over 300 complaints filed with the Better Business Bureau (www.investopedia.com/stock-analysis). There are over 100 complaints on www.ConsumerAffairs.com.
There are even more complaints at www.ripoffreport.com and www.pissedconsumer.com, as well as on www.BobVilla.com. According to www.HardwoodFlooringTalk.com there are three class action lawsuits against Lumber Liquidators because of defective product.
